8. Home inspectors also look out for the bathrooms, basement, the heating and cooling systems, the plumbing, the electricals, among other things. For instance, the inspector wants to see a bathroom without mold in the shower, that the toilet flushing power is strong, that all plumbing fixtures are working properly. Inspectors also want to see how well the basement, the plumbing and the electricals are managed.

9. Home inspectors look out for things like the garage door, light switches and the overall lighting.

10. Ultimately, inspectors want to be sure the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are in perfect working condition.
